Baruch Bush, co-founder of the transformative approach to mediation, passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 78. Baruch was a true leader and teacher, and was known for his intellect, humor, and generosity of spirit.
I was fortunate to know Baruch personally, and considered him a friend and mentor. We had many thought-provoking conversations, but probably the most memorable conversation we had was when he helped me understand mediation's potential to facilitate moral growth, and why that mattered.
I wrote A Moral Choice: Baruch Bush and the True Promise of Mediation in memory of Baruch. You can read the article on Substack, where I plan to continue exploring mediation’s potential in future articles and conversations.
You can learn more about Baruch’s life and work, and share tributes and memories, here.
